gooo.ooo

License

What you're allowed to do with the shapes you make in gooo. Short version: they're yours, you can sell work that uses them, and you don't have to credit us.

In short

  • You own what you make. You sculpted the shape; it's your artwork. Shareable claims no ownership of it.
  • Royalty-free commercial use. Client work, products you sell, marketing, packaging, apps, games, merch. No fees, no royalties, no reporting.
  • No attribution required. Credit is welcome, never obligatory.
  • ×Don't sell the shapes as the product. Using a blob on a poster you sell is fine. Bundling 500 gooo exports into a stock pack is not.

Who and what this covers

gooo.ooo is operated by Shareable. In this document, an export means anything gooo produces from your work: a PNG, an SVG, an animated SVG, or copied CSS, SVG or React code.

Your artwork is yours

You choose the shape, the colours, the gradient and the motion. The result is your creative work, and Shareable makes no ownership claim over it. You do not need our permission to use, modify, sell, or license what you make.

What Shareable does own is gooo itself — the tool, its interface, its code, its name and its logo. This licence is about your exports, not about the software that produced them.

What you may do

What you may not do

The line between the first point and normal use is who the shape is being sold to. If your customer is buying a poster, a product or a design service, that's ordinary commercial use and it's fine. If your customer is buying the shapes themselves, that's redistribution, and it isn't.

Free and pro

Using gooo is free and needs no account. Exports on the free tier carry a small gooo.ooo watermark, and the free tier is intended for personal and evaluation use. gooo pro removes the watermark and carries the commercial rights described above, along with SVG and embed-code export, animated SVG, 4K PNG, extra palettes, gradients, motions and deeper 3D.

During early access, this applies to everyone. gooo pro is currently unlocked for every visitor at no cost, so the commercial rights on this page are available to everyone using gooo right now.

And it stays that way for what you've already made. Anything you export while early access is running keeps this licence permanently. If early access ends and pro becomes paid, work you already exported does not lose its rights — we are not going to reach back and un-licence artwork you have already shipped.

Changes to these terms

We may update this page. Any change applies going forward only: an export is licensed under the terms that were published at the moment you made it, and a later revision cannot retroactively narrow that.

No warranty

gooo is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We can't guarantee it will be available, bug-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we aren't liable for losses arising from its use. Nothing here affects consumer rights you have by law.

Questions

If something here doesn't cover your case — an unusual redistribution question, an enterprise requirement, anything you'd want in writing — ask us via the gooo information hub and we'll answer plainly. See also the FAQ.
